Meredith Brooks


Meredith is married to Anthony and has two kids Riley- 10, and Hayden-8. They live in Thompsons station. For fun, Meredith likes to run half marathons, travel and eat Mexican food. Before becoming director of MDO, Meredith taught in the 2 year old and 3 year old classrooms. 

Helen Chiang

Teacher- Pre-K

Helen is married to Stan and has two kids, Joshua (6) and Hope (1). She lives in Brentwood. For fun, Helen loves to try new foods and travel!



Abby Henry

Teacher- Three year olds

Abby is married to David, and has one child, Judah. She grew up in Pennsylvania, but has lived in Nashville for over 7 years. In her spare time, she likes to read, listen to podcasts, and work on cross-stitch projects.

Oxana Clarke

Floater- Three Year Olds
Oxana is married to Tyler and has two kids Aleks – 4, and Vera – 2. They live in Brentwood. For fun, Oxana likes to go to various parks with her kids, cook, and cheer for Vanderbilt football. Oxana has a PhD in Education. Before she had kids, Oxana taught undergraduate education courses at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. 


Mindy Chipkevich

Teacher- Pre-K, Teacher- Music/Bible Story Class

Mindy is married to Ben and they have three children, Mary Hayes – 6, Kate – 4, and Luke – 3. They live in Nolensville. For fun Mindy enjoys baking, antiquing, and exploring the various parks throughout the city.

Ashlee Albright

Teacher- One Year Olds
Ashlee, an Ohio native, is married to a Nashville native, Brandon. They have three children, Noah, Mabel and Alaine. In years past, Ashlee was a middle school and special education teacher. Currently, Ashlee has a health and wellness business, loves Jesus, the outdoors, cooking, reading, crafting projects around the house, and spending quality time with friends and family. Community Bible Church was a wonderful fit for her daughter Mabel last year, so Ashlee is excited to be a part of the staff this upcoming year! 

Rachel Alderson

Teacher- Three Year Olds

Rachel is a native Nashvillian. She graduated with two majors from Lipscomb University and taught as a high school English teacher in metro schools for five years before moving to the private sector where she has been able to teach all ages and have more time with her 4 year old daughter. She is thrilled to be a part of the Mother’s Day Out Program! 

Megan Sugg

Teacher- One Year Olds

Megan is married to her high school sweetheart, Sean. They have two boys, Jensen – 2, William – 8 months, with dreams of expanding their family in the future. They also have three fur babies – An Australian Sheppard, Edward, a Labrador Husky mix, Banting, and a Bengal, Raja. Megan packed up her family of boys (Sean, Jensen, and William) and fur babies (Edward, Banting, and Raja) to drive from Southern California to Nashville, Tennessee, with a hope one day to live on a farm. Megan graduated from the Biblical Institute Of Los Angeles (BIOLA). She graduated cum laude receiving her credential and BA in elementary education, with a minor in Biblical Studies; and she received her Masters of Arts in Teaching, graduating with highest honors. When Megan is not teaching at Mother’s Day Out, she is teaching online English to children. For fun Megan enjoys reading, writing, and spending time with family and friends. Megan is excited for this next step in her teaching journey with the Mother’s Day Out program! “

Suzanne Nicholson

Teacher- Younger Two Year Olds

Suzanne has been working at mother’s day out programs since 1999.  She has also worked at the ymca with children.  She has been married to John since 1991 and they have two children, Stephanie and Jon.

Cindy Brewer

Teacher- Younger Two Year Olds

Cindy has been working at Community Bible Church for 27 years in the 2 year old room. When she is not teaching, she spends a lot of time with her grandkids. She likes to ride her bike and work in her garden. 

Anna Parrish

Teacher- Older Two Year Olds

Anna graduated from Lipscomb University and taught Spanish in Brentwood for 5 years before becoming a mom! She is married to Landon, and they have a daughter (1) named Magnolia. Their favorite place in Nashville is Plaza Mariachi. Anna enjoys hand lettering, reading (especially Harry Potter), and baking.


Casey Bakken

Gym Teacher/Floater
Casey was born in California, and raised in the Nashville area. For four years, she lifeguarded at the YMCA and saved four lives. Her favorite things to do are craft, travel, and most of all, write.

Amanda Figueroa

Teacher-Older Two Year Olds

My name is Amanda Figueroa and I married my high school sweetheart Luis and the Lord blessed us with two beautiful girls, Zoe and Sofia. I have been apart of the childcare community for 15+ years. The most rewarding aspect of caring for children is seeing their smiles and witnessing their growth. I truly believe in investing in our children’ education and development because they are the future. I am very excited to be a part of the Mother’s Day Out family and teaching the children of our community.
